Why is Coconut Oil Beneficial?

If you’re going to sacrifice a few minutes of your time to look at the trade-related cosmetic and hair care label (and I recommend you always look at the label of any product before you buy it), you’ll often find the oil of coconut among the ingredients.

Cold pressed coconut oil is very rich in antioxidant substances and has strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Applied to hair, coconut oil stimulates its growth, combat fungal fungi, preventing dandruff, giving volume and brilliance.

Unfortunately, in commercial cosmetics there are many other ingredients other than coconut oil, such as preservatives, perfumes, dyes, foams, etc., which can affect both hair and scalp. These chemicals can be too harsh with hair and can lead to their drying, devitalization and loss in time of healthy appearance. Our recommendation is to avoid as much as possible these conventional hair care products, even if they are branded, and instead choose shampoos, conditioners and the like as natural as possible. Also call the organic coconut jar as often as possible to replace many of these conventional hair care products.

Below are some of the many ways you can use hair coconut oil.

Treatment of spiked peaks with coconut oil

Coconut oil can successfully replace balm or hair mask, no matter what type of hair you have: fat, dry or normal. Especially if you have oily hair, you do not have to worry that it will fatten you even more. Coconut oil moisturizes hair, nourishes it and balances the pH of the scalp, which is why your hair will not grow fatter.

According to the studies, coconut oil is the only oil that reduces protein loss. Proteins are the main base of hair, the “bricks” from which it is built. Having the ability to rebuild hair structure, coconut oil prevents spikes from peeling or helps repair them.

Lauric acid, a naturally occurring substance in coconut oil in impressive quantities, has a low molecular weight and can thus penetrate into the hair that it feeds with beneficial fatty acids, minerals and vitamins that are necessary for its health. Coconut oil prevents hair from breaking due to the brush, giving the strength and flexibility the hair needs to keep it intact.

You can use coconut oil as a balsam after washing or as a hair mask. The recommendation is to leave it as long as possible for maximum efficacy – from a few hours to the whole night, under a clean towel.

Apply coconut oil on wet, washed hair in advance. For short hair, use a teaspoon, for medium-length hair two teaspoons, and for long hair a spoon of coconut oil, pre-warmed in the palm. Apply in the area of the tips, but also at the base of the hair. Cover your hair with a towel, helmet or plastic wrap and leave for 1-2 hours or overnight if you can. Finally, wash your hair with a delicate shampoo and rinse well.

You can also add a few drops of essential oil of geranium or sandalwood, which have strong moisturizing effects and fix the optimal amount of fluids in the hair.

For maximum anti-skid protection, you can apply a small amount of coconut oil and as a leave-in conditioner. It is important to use as little coconut oil as possible in order not to lose too much hair; leave-in means you do not rinse him anymore, but stick with him on his hair.

Coconut oil is fighting dandruff

Dandruff can be caused by fungal infections of the scalp, but also by excessive drying caused by too harsh ingredients in hair care products. Fatty acids in coconut oil, like lauric acid, of which I spoke to you above, fight against microbes, viruses and fungi, protecting the scalp of infections.

Medicinal and conventional anti-aging shampoos in stores can aggravate things as a result of the contained chemicals that can be irritating to the scalp. These include substances with strange names, such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, the known parabens and the like.

Coconut oil provides both the necessary hydration when dandruff is caused by excessive hair drying and the prevention and treatment of fungal or other scalp infections if they lead to dandruff. Effects will not appear overnight. It takes a bit of patience, as with any natural treatments. In about a week, however, you will begin to see an improvement in hair condition. And the results will be sustainable.

Coconut oil contains, as mentioned above, many nutritional ingredients that penetrate hair and help to restore hair growth. For maximum effects, it is important to provide both internal and external hair nourishment. Consume regular coconut oil (at least one teaspoon a day) and apply it to the hair. The results will be seen much faster this way.

It is also important to avoid commercially available chemical care products. The way you care for your hair counts as much as the products you use. Thus, it is not advisable to brush your hair when it is wet, because it breaks very easily. Drops the use of the hair straightener, the curler or even the hair dryer, which, through excessive heat, can aggravate hair problems, making it more brittle, drying it and irritating the scalp.

Hair dye contains strong chemicals that affect hair structure and hair follicle health. The hair becomes dry, brittle and breaks gently. If the hair follicle is affected, hair loss and hair loss may occur.

Coconut oil can be used as a pre-treatment to protect hair when dyeing it and post-treatment after dyeing. Coconut oil fixes the hair protein molecules and prevents their loss due to the aggression of coloring agents and bleaching agents.

Hydrogen peroxide, for example, is a bleach that leads to increased hair porosity and fragility. Coconut oil acts as a shield, protecting the hair from the damage caused by this substance, but without affecting the hair coloring process. In addition, coconut oil increases the color absorption in the hair, resulting in increased hair color.

Use coconut oil as a hair mask on wet hair, washed beforehand before painting hair. Let it act for at least an hour or over, then apply the paint without rinsing the coconut.

Coconut oil as a hair protection against sun rays

Not just skin, but hair needs sunscreen. The sun can be harmful when we spend all day under its rays. Dries the hair, reduces them from the brightness affects their structure. Coconut oil has the SPF 8 sunscreen factor. Although it is not high, it helps maintain hair health. Use a small amount of leave-in conditioner to protect hair from the negative effects of the sun.

Coconut oil helps protect against degradation caused by thermal styling devices, such as a wave trimmer, plate or hair dryer. In addition, coconut oil smooths hair, prevents electrification and helps maintain perfect loops or straight and smooth hair.

Heat the oil in the palm, apply it from the root to the peaks and then dry and coat it according to your preferences. The hair will become silky, shiny and flexible.

In which situations do not have to use coconut oil on your hair

Normally, people with medium-thickness hair achieve very good results due to the use of coconut oil. Hair becomes more resistant, brighter and more volume. People who have thicker and coarse hair may not get along well with increasing hair protein intake from coconut oil. Hair may become more harsh and bummer in this case. It is possible that another type of oil, for example argan oil, is more effective in the situation.

Of course, people who are allergic to coconut or coconut oil should not use this product on their hair, but this is rarely an allergen-free product.
